Bio

My World, My Work

First, allow me to introduce myself. My name is LeMark Travian  McPherson a  New York actor who's  story is far from typical because of its narrative.  I secured my financial future before jumping into this business, the world of the Arts, a career I love and dream about.

I moved here from Jamaica 12 years ago, with a focus on taking care of my family putting my dream of becoming an actor aside. Much like the stereotype of the hard-working Caribbean man, that meant doing everything, everywhere, nonstop―and included obtaining my citizenship as well as three different degrees, most recently, my MA in data analysis from Pratt Institute.

Now that I have brought my mother and two sisters here, put them through college, secured their green cards, and purchased our family home, I am free to pursue my dream as an actor.

To date, I have worked short films , student films and background on a few series and am currently involved in a pilot that is trying to get off the ground written by Mark Jacobson. I also have a few feature film lined up and a theater project I just got casted in as Lemuel ( Lead).

Being free from worrying about making ends meet, allows me the time to audition, read, study, or take any job that we might book together.  Having said that, I believe in growth and continuous development. Hence, I will always commit to constantly developing my craft by honing my skills and developing new techniques. Which is why I have a biweekly recurring acting class with my coach Ellen Gerstein and I am enrolled in other  acting classes to strengthen my craft like (  Meisner Technique at the Acting Studio - New York, LLC- currently) and completed Acting Foundation at Anthony Meindl's acting studio.

I am also looking for a place to grow―where I can build a future and expand the representation of Black men. Because my look is malleable, depending upon costuming, and because of my experience within the American and Caribbean diaspora, I see myself as a sucessful actor in the new future.
